1. Enhanced indoor air quality is made easier with our air cleaner cabinet,
an accessory for the WeatherMaker® Infinity™ gas furnace. When installed
as a part of your system, this cabinet allows for the easy and convenient addition
of a Carrier high-efficiency air filter. Ask your dealer if the air cleaner cabinet
will work with your specific application. Shown with high-efficiency air filter-sold
separately.
2. Reliable, efficient burner ignition is the result of the hot surface
ignitor system. One of the most dependable ignition systems available, the hot
surface ignitor conserves gas because there is no standing pilot.
3. Comfort is improved because the two stage gas valve provides two heating
capacities. The low capacity increases comfort on milder days. The high capacity
ensures comfort during extreme outdoor weather conditions.
4. Ultra-high efficiency performance and energy savings are provided by the
variable speed inducer which precisely controls the amount of air drawn into the
combustion system.
5. Optimum comfort and efficiency is provided by the variable speed blower
motor. This high-efficiency motor provides maximum energy savings at low fan speeds
during both heating and cooling. It also provides consistent airflow under varying
load conditions and offers a continuous fan function for less than $30/annually in
most places; improving air and air cleaning.
6. Highly efficient, reliable performance is assured through the use of
two heat exchangers. The primary heat exchanger extracts 80% of the heat from the
gas you use, then the secondary heat exchanger extracts an additional 12% to 16%.
Indoor Air Quality

enhances your home's air quality by circulating indoor air through the air filter

Moisture Control
For truly remarkable comfort all year long, the WeatherMaker™ 8000VS is the
foundation for an IdealHumidity™ System that works all day and all night to
control both temperature AND humidity. Temperature control is important to your
comfort. However, many people don't realize that humidity control can be just as
important in creating an ideal indoor atmosphere. Combined with a Carrier air
conditioner or heat pump, whole home humidifier, and our patented Thermidistat™
Control or Comfort Zone™, the WeatherMaker 8000VS becomes part of an IdealHumidity
System.
Ideal Control
All indoor comfort systems provide some humidity control during cooling operation,
but IdealHumidity is the only system that can control moisture even when the indoor
temperature does not require heating or cooling operation. Why is humidity control
so important? Heated air during the winter becomes extra dry. Because dry air feels
cooler, you'll tend to set your thermostat higher to feel warm. During the cooling
season, high humidity makes you feel warm, sticky and less than comfortable. So, you
go to the thermostat and set the system for additional cooling. IdealHumidity monitors
temperature and humidity, then automatically adjusts operation as needed to create
ideal comfort for your home. Because you'll feel more comfortable all year long with
less cooling and less heating, you'll save money with reduced heating and cooling costs.

feature virtually eliminates the need for a ceiling fan.
Warranty
The Infinity™ 80 gas furnace is protected by a 20-year limited heat
exchanger warranty and a five-year limited warranty on the entire unit. Extended
